Murse, Messenger, or Satchel?

11th & Pike

A few weekends ago I attended a Half-Handed Cloud concert with my good friend Brooke Snyder. I first stumbled upon the show when I was looking on asthmatickitty.com a week or two before, and found that he was playing in Seattle. I immediately jumped on the opportunity and proceeded to find the location of the venue. To my surprise there was no website for the venue except a Myspace page. 'Healthy Times Fun Club' was the name, and the address wasn't even on the Myspace page. What was there was the email address and a statement saying 'if you want to see one of our shows email us for the directions.' Sketchy. Nonetheless Half-Handed Cloud was worth the adventure into the unknown. I emailed them and got the directions and address:

We're in the basement of the 1100 e pike bldg on capitol hill, our entrance is on 11th in a two door cubby under a sign that says Annex Theatre. Ours is the blue door to the left. The actual address is 1100 E Pike ST Seattle, WA 98122. We are super secret about our address showing up on any public forum, so keep it on the low-down (but feel free to come with friends, of course!).
See ya!

I scrambled to find a car to go to the concert, since Capital Hill a bit of a bus ride away, but I found none. Eventually my good friend Alex Bennet, who has my back like most guys from sixth, volunteered to drive me and Brooke there and pick us up afterwards. The concert was so awesome and I even got a picture with the man himself.

Needless to say, it was a great concert and my heart was fluttering the whole time listening to one of my favorite artists in a small sketchy venue that served vegan food before the show. Yes, it was awesome.

A major deal

As of late (and by 'as of late' I mean within the last 10 minutes)  I have down two things: (1) Started a blog, and (2) thought intently on my major decision (yes pun intended). I know that I want to be in the fashion industry, but as to where and what I will be doing I cannot say. I could choose to double major in apparel design and merchandising. Although I feel like my drawing ability is mediocre at best, but there are more responsibilities that go with apparel design than just artistic designing. There is also many technical aspects of it. I could also choose to major in apparel merchandising and minor in French, although I don't feel like I am very good at the language. That would allow me to go to design shows in France and be a representative for a company in the USA. Anyway, I cannot say where I will go but Jesus is so awesome and He's got my back so I do not fret.
